Turkey's daily power consumption up 1.52% on Sep. 25

- Turkey’s electricity exports amount to 6,447 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 3,244 megawatt-hours on Wednesday

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 1.52% to 792,984 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 36,915 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 27,146 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production totaled 792,984 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 1.14% increase compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from imported coal plants totaling 203,441 megawatt-hours.Hydroelectricity plants and natural gas followed with 176,278 megawatt-hours and 175,266 megawatt-hours, respectively.

Also on Wednesday, Turkey’s electricity exports amounted to 6,447 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 3,244 megawatt-hours.
