Turkey's daily power consumption up 13.68% on April 19

- Electricity exports amount to 9,388 megawatt-hours, while imports total 654 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 13.68% on Monday compared to the previous day to reach 856,253 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday at 10.00 local time.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time, reaching 34,643 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 25,874 megawatt-hours at 08.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 865,137 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a 13.44% decrease from Sunday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 21.2% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 20.5%, while run-of-river plants held a 13.1% share.

On Monday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 9,388 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 654 megawatt-hours.
