Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 1.30% to 864,565 megawatt-hours on Thursday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time with 40,614 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 28,338 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 858,150 megawatt-hours on Thursday with a 0.81% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from Imported coal plants at 196,792 megawatt-hours.
Natural gas plants and hydroelectricity plants followed with 187,241 megawatt-hours and 158,289 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,423 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 12,839 megawatt-hours.
