Turkey's daily power consumption up 12.9% on July 13

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 5,279 megawatt-hours, while imports total 9,917 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 12.9% to 880,733 megawatt-hours on Monday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time with 40,890 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,967 megawatt-hours at local time 07.00.

Electricity production totaled 876,09 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a 13.4% increase compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from natural gas plants at 182,503 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and hydroelectricity plants followed with 177,895 megawatt-hours and 158,043 megawatt-hours, respectively.

On Monday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 5,279 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 9,917 megawatt-hours.
