Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 1.27% on Tuesday compared to the previous day to reach 883,781 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 42,017 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,822 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 885,485 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 1.30% increase from Monday.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 29.26% of total electricity consumption, imported coal held a 18.15% share while wind power plants comprised 16.12%.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 4,743 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 3,405 megawatt-hours.
