Turkey's daily power consumption up 12.1% on July 27

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 4,361 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 5,780 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased on Monday by 12.1% compared to the previous day to 929,246 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 17.00 local time with 44,096 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,189 megawatt-hours at local time 07.00.

Electricity production totaled 927,828 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a 12.6% increase compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from natural gas plants at 234,974 megawatt-hours. Hydroelectricity and imported coal plants followed with 229,470 megawatt-hours and 205,878 megawatt-hours, respectively.
