Turkey's daily power consumption up 1.04% on Nov. 27

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 5,384 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 10,843 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 1.04% to 834,801 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 39,994 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 27,671 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.

Electricity production totaled 829,316 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.66% increase compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from imported natural gas totaling 234,439 megawatt-hours. Imported coal plants and hydro plants followed with 202,196 megawatt-hours and 157,347 megawatt-hours, respectively.
