Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 1.03% on Thursday compared to the previous day to reach 933,432 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 45,570 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,538 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 943,887 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 1.07% increase from Wednesday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26.7% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 19.2%, while imported coal power plants held a 13.1% share.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 11,808 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,821 megawatt-hours.
