Turkey's daily power consumption up 1.02% on June 3

- Electricity exports amount to 12,764 megawatt-hours, while imports total 11,281 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 1.02% on Thursday compared to the previous day, reaching 864,561 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time at 41,176 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,806 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 866,593 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 1% increase from Wednesday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 32.8% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 16%, while imported lignite plants held a 14.3% share.

On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 12,764 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 11,281 megawatt-hours.
