Turkey's daily power consumption up 1.01% on June 24

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 1,881 megawatt-hours, while imports total 12,193 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 1.01% to 795,379 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 22.00 local time with 36,671 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 27,257 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Total electricity production reached 785,068 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 2.5% increase compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from imported coal plants at 202,398 megawatt-hours. Natural gas and hydroelectricity plants followed with 156,666 megawatt-hours and 156,563 megawatt-hours, respectively.

On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 1,881 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 12,193 megawatt-hours.
