Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.98% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 900,880 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 43,697 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,556 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 907,036 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.94% increase from Thursday.
Turkey's electricity production from hydroelectricity power plants constituted 17.35% of total electricity consumption, natural gas power plants comprised 15.71%, while wind power plants held a 14.97% share.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,637 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1140 megawatt-hours.
