Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.97% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 930,800 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,172 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,177 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 933,104 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.89% rise compared to Wednesday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 39% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 21.7% while lignite plants comprised 14.2%.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 11,589 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 9,736 megawatt-hours.
