Turkey's daily power consumption up 0.85% on April 6

- Electricity exports amount to 8,583 megawatt-hours, while imports total 4,250 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.85% on Tuesday compared to the previous day to reach 891,969 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday at 10.00 local time.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 43,296 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,330 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 896,829 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 0.02% decrease from Monday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 23.2% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 15%, while lignite plants held a 14.3% share.

On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,583 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 4,250 megawatt-hours.
