Turkey's daily power consumption up 0.81% on Nov. 11

- Electricity exports amount to 5,702 megawatt-hours and imports total 7,513 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.81% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 909,733 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,765 megawatt-hours at 19.00 local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,653 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 908,765 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.76% increase compared to Wednesday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 23.8% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 21.7% while wind energy plants comprised 16.7%.

On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 5,702 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 7,513 megawatt-hours.
