Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.78% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, reaching 922,186 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,191 megawatt-hours at 15.00 local time, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,321 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 928,752 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.86% increase from Tuesday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 40.7% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 14.4%, while imported coal plants held a 13.9% share.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 11,919 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 5,643 megawatt-hours.
