Turkey's daily power consumption up 0.72% on April 13

- Electricity exports amount to 9,788 megawatt-hours, while imports total 940 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.72% on Tuesday compared to the previous day to reach 907,922 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday at 10.00 local time.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 42,289 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,781 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 917,611 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 0.75% increase from Monday.

Turkey's electricity production from hydroelectricity power plants constituted 25.25% of total electricity consumption, natural gas plants comprised 23.59%, while imported coal held a 14.5% share.

On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 9,788 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 940 megawatt-hours.
