Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.7% to 877,824 megawatt-hours on Thursday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 41,761megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 29,014 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 884,427 megawatt-hours on Thursday with a 0.67% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from natural gas plants at 254,114 megawatt-hours.
Imported coal plants and hydroelectricity followed with 207,322 megawatt-hours and 113,359 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 7,812 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,210 megawatt-hours.
