Turkey's daily power consumption up 0.67% on June 2

- Electricity exports amount to 12,265 megawatt-hours, while imports total 10,389 megawatt-hours

​​​​​​​Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.67% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, reaching 855,838 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time at 40,536 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,715 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 857,962 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.63% increase from Tuesday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 36% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 15.4%, while imported lignite plants held a 13.8% share.

On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 12,265 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 10,389 megawatt-hours.
