Turkey's daily power consumption up 0.5% on Nov. 11

- Electricity exports amount to 14,623 megawatt-hours while imports total 60 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.5% on Wednesday compared to the previous day to reach 823,376 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time, reaching 40,244 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,731 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 837,940 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.5% increase compared to the previous day.

While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 33.21% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 21.78% share while lignite plants comprised 14.65%.

On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 14,623 megawatt-hours while imports totaled 60 megawatt-hours.
