Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.39% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 947,314 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 45,921 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 31,126 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 947,314 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.36% increase from Thursday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 30% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 20%, while imported coal power plants held a 14% share.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 12,115 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 2,121 megawatt-hours.
