Turkey's daily power consumption up 0.32% on May 11

- Electricity exports amount to 3,343 megawatt-hours, while imports total 9,246 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.32% on Tuesday compared to the previous day to reach 804,319 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time, reaching 36,639 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 27,029 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 810,384 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 0.33% increase from Monday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 23.1% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 14.3%, while lignite plants held a 13.9% share.

On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 3,343 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 9,246 megawatt-hours.
