Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.30% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 933,653 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,296 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,107 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 935,648 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.27% rise compared to Thursday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 36.7% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 20.3% while lignite plants comprised 14.6%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 12,647 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 10.793 megawatt-hours.
