Turkey's daily power consumption up 0.3% on Feb. 10

- Electricity exports amount to 5,950 megawatt-hours, while imports total 3,422 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.3% on Wednesday compared to the previous day to reach 853,359 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday at 10.00 local time.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 40,602 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,138 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 856,100 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.5% increase from Tuesday.

While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas power plants constituted 23.9% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 23.5% share, while wind plants comprised 14.5%.

On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 5,950 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 3,422 megawatt-hours.
