Turkey's daily power consumption up 0.29% on Feb. 11

- Electricity exports amount to 6,124 megawatt-hours, while imports total 3,517 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.29% on Thursday compared to the previous day to reach 855,850 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday at 10.00 local time.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 40,189 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,393 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 858,556 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.28% increase from Wednesday.

While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas power plants constituted 20% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 22.8% share, while wind plants comprised 17%.

On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,124 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 3,517 megawatt-hours.
