Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.27% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 914,258 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 44,929 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,158 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 917,160 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.56% increase from Thursday.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 32.1% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held 17.6%, while hydroelectric power plants comprised 16%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 4,058 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,251 megawatt-hours.
