Turkey's daily power consumption up 0.22% on Sept. 12

- Turkey's electricity exports total 3,700 megawatt-hours while imports reach 5,653 megawatt-hours on Thursday

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decrease by 0.22% to 862,437 megawatt-hours on Thursday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 40,32 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its daily lowest point of 29,986 megawatt-hours at 07.00.

Total electricity production reached 864,390 megawatt-hours on Thursday, with a 0.03% rise compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from imported coal plants totaling 207,429 megawatt-hours.

Natural gas and hydroelectricity plants followed with 192,923 megawatt-hours and 156,966 megawatt-hours, respectively.

Also on Thursday, Turkey’s electricity exports were at 3,700 megawatt-hours while imports reached 5,653 megawatt-hours.
