Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.2% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, reaching 881,312 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time at 41,877 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,452 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 886,066 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.3% increase from Tuesday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 32.1% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity plants comprised 14.7%, while imported lignite plants held a 14.5% share.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 11,510 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 7,258 megawatt-hours.
