Turkey's daily power consumption up 0.13% on June 10

- Electricity exports amount to 8,128 megawatt-hours, while imports total 6,489 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.13% on Thursday compared to the previous day, reaching 877,951 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time at 41,626 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,263 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 879,947 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.18% increase from Wednesday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 38.5% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 13.9%, while lignite plants held a 12.7% share.

On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,128 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 6,489 megawatt-hours.
