Turkey's daily power consumption up 0.10% on March 24

- Electricity exports amount to 12,257 megawatt-hours, while imports total 2,481 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.10% on Wednesday compared to the previous day to reach 923,901 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday at 10.00 local time.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 45,603 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,828 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 933,851 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.04% increase from Tuesday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26.7% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 13.9%, while imported coal power plants held a 13.4% share.

On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 12,257 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 2,481 megawatt-hours.
