Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.1% to 798,145 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 38,550 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 27,799 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.
Electricity production totaled 798,993 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.1% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from natural gas totaling 231,123 megawatt-hours. Imported coal plants and lignite plants followed with 205,503 megawatt-hours and 135,338 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 7,890 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 7,042 megawatt-hours.
