Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.1% on Thursday compared to the previous day, reaching 882,174 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time at 42,263 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,510 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 886,532 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.05% increase from Wednesday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 33.6% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity plants comprised 15.6%, while lignite plants held a 14% share.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 10,120 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 6,017 megawatt-hours.
