Turkey's daily power consumption up 0.09% on June 9

- Electricity exports amount to 6,822 megawatt-hours, while imports total 6,408 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.09% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, reaching 876,755 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time at 42,350 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,257 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 878,296 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.02% increase from Tuesday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 37.1% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 14.3%, while lignite plants held a 13% share.

On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,822 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 6,408 megawatt-hours.
