Turkey's daily power consumption fell by 3.7% on Nov. 9

- Turkey's electricity exports amounts to 10,787 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 5,298 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 3.7% to 734,064 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 35,199 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 26,820 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.

Electricity production totaled 728,574 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 4.1% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from natural gas plants totaling 187,859 megawatt-hours. Coal import and lignite plants followed with 174,145 megawatt-hours and 142,614 megawatt-hours, respectively.

On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 10,787 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 5,298 megawatt-hours.
