Turkey's daily power consumption fell by 1.1% on Nov. 8

- Turkey's electricity exports amounts to 5,302 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 7,975 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 1.1% to 762,444 megawatt-hours on Friday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 36,691 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 27,141 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.

Electricity production totaled 759,771 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 1.3% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from natural gas plants totaling 177,807 megawatt-hours. Coal import and lignite plants followed with 175,033 megawatt-hours and 138,835 megawatt-hours, respectively.
