Turkey's daily power consumption falls by 11.3% on Nov. 10

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 5,986 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 11,164 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 11.3% to 650,731 megawatt-hours on Sunday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 32,358 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 24,764 megawatt-hours at local time 09.00.

Electricity production totaled 728,574 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 4.1% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from coal imports totaling 168,844 megawatt-hours. Lignite import and hydropower plants followed with 145,605 megawatt-hours and 110,400 megawatt-hours, respectively.

On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 5,986 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 11,164 megawatt-hours.
