Turkey's daily power consumption falls 0.11% on Sep. 19

- Turkey's electricity exports reach 5,129 megawatt-hours while imports amount to 3,341 megawatt-hours on Thursday

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.11% to 819,700 megawatt-hours on Thursday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 38,963 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its daily lowest point of 28,581 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production totaled 821,488 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.16% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants totaling 206,200 megawatt-hours. Imported coal plants and natural gas followed with 205,210 megawatt-hours and 199,560 megawatt-hours, respectively.

Also on Thursday, Turkey’s electricity exports amounted to 5,129 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 3,341 megawatt-hours.
