Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.66% to 789,830 megawatt-hours on Friday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 18.00 with 37,397 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 27,441 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.
Electricity production totaled 787,509 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 1.15% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from coal plants totaling 205,844 megawatt-hours. Imported natural gas and lignite plants followed with 204,912 megawatt-hours and 140,183 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 5,358 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 7,679 megawatt-hours.
