Turkey's daily power consumption down 7.96% on July 11

- Electricity exports amount to 14,572 megawatt-hours, while imports total 3,379 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 7.96% on Sunday compared to the previous day, reaching 917,753 million megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,038 megawatt-hours at 22.00 local time on Sunday data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage was at its lowest at 31,655 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 929,485 million megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a 7.83% decrease from Saturday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 34.8% of total electricity consumption, wind energy plants held a 12.4% while imported coal plants comprised 17.1%.

On Sunday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 14,572 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 3,379 megawatt-hours.
