Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 6.5% on Saturday compared to the previous day to reach 817,942 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time, reaching 39,311 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,379 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 830,874 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 6% decrease compared to the previous day.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 32.65% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 22.33% share while wind plants comprised 13.37%.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 14,255 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,323 megawatt-hours.
