Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 6.55% on Saturday compared to the previous day to reach 812,826 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time, reaching 39,193 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,795 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 820,337 megawatt-hours on Saturday, with a decrease of 6.46% from Friday.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 29.86% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 22.06% share while wind plants comprised 16.85%.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 9,619 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 2,102 megawatt-hours.
