Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 6.40% to 726,933 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 34,937 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 26,343 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.
Electricity production totaled 722,725 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 6.91% decreased compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from coal imports totaling 204,256 megawatt-hours. Natural gas and lignite plants followed with 136,494 megawatt-hours and 124,138 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 7,756 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 11,964 megawatt-hours.
