Turkey's daily power consumption down 5.79% on Nov. 30

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 4,572 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 12,890 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 5.79% to 779,796 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 36,516 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 27,756 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.

Electricity production totaled 771,478 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 6.01% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from imported coal totaling 208,052 megawatt-hours. Natural gas plants and lignite plants followed with 183,961 megawatt-hours and 134,964 megawatt-hours, respectively.
