Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 5.68% on Saturday compared to the previous day to reach 832,921 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time, reaching 38,730 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,677 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 884,387 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 5.78% decrease from Friday.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26.3% of total electricity consumption, imported coal held a 23.6% share while wind plants comprised 16%.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 2,904 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 2,673 megawatt-hours.
