Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 5.5% to 767,270 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 36,640 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 27,768 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.
Electricity production totaled 756,384 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 6.5% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from imported coal plants totaling 207,235 megawatt-hours. Natural gas plants and lignite plants followed with 204,470 megawatt-hours and 123,065 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 5,031 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 15,917 megawatt-hours.
