Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 5.23% on Sunday compared to the previous day to reach 744,435 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time, reaching 34,545 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 25,284 megawatt-hours at 08.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 748,467 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a 5.17% decrease from Saturday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 21.1% of total electricity consumption, lignite plants comprised 14.6%, while wind power plants held a 14.6% share.
On Sunday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,387 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 2,547 megawatt-hours.
