Daily electricity consumption fell by 5.16% to 811,425 megawatt-hours on Saturday in Turkey, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time with 37,503 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 28,382 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 808,963 megawatt-hours on Saturday, with a 5.51% drop compared to the previous day.
The majority of output came from imported coal plants totaling 206,421 megawatt-hours.
Natural gas plants and lignite plants followed with 168,225 megawatt-hours and 145,132 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,374 megawatt-hours while imports totaled 8,837 megawatt-hours.
