Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 5.08% on Saturday compared to the previous day to reach 811,831 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 37,782 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,071 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 814,086 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 5.18% decrease from Friday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 30.79% of total electricity consumption, lignite power plants comprised 14.04%, while imported coal plants held a 13.45% share.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 11,759 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 9,612 megawatt-hours.
