Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 4.95% on Saturday compared to the previous day to reach 827,834 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 14.00 local time, reaching 37,625 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,813 megawatt-hours at 08.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 835,482megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 5% decrease from Friday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 20.86% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 17%, while imported coal held a 15.6% share.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 663 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 9,504 megawatt-hours.
