Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 4.9% to 818,868 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 38,621 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 28,967 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.
Electricity production totaled 815,218 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 5.4% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from natural gas reaching 230,451 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and hydro storage plants followed with 206,489 megawatt-hours and 138,800 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 9,939 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 11,590 megawatt-hours.
