Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased down 4.5% to 833,324 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time with 38,731 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 28,926 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 827,942 megawatt-hours on Saturday with a 4.67% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from natural gas at 180,828 megawatt-hours. Hydroelectricity and natural gas followed with 176,602 megawatt-hours and 147,517 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 3,302 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 8,684 megawatt-hours.
